Word Weave

An original word-placement variant on a 9×9 grid, using only the visible finite lexicon, not a general dictionary. Choose a word, rotate between horizontal and vertical, then click its starting cell. The first word must cover the center; later words must overlap an existing matching letter. Every resulting crossing word must also be in the lexicon. Score one point per newly filled cell, with no bonus squares. Six consecutive passes or a full board end the game; the higher score wins. Each player has a rack of twelve letters or intact script clusters. Only words buildable from your rack can be selected. New cells consume rack tiles; matching board letters do not. Refills draw a sampled real word, then random lexicon letters. The bot has its own rack with the same draw distribution. Exchange replaces your rack and counts as a pass.
